"A group of 6 adults (3 couples) stayed for a hockey tournament for 2 nights. Separate bedrooms for privacy, but great living area (kitchen/dining/living room) for gathering and fun. The host was super quick to respond, and very accommodating. We’d stay again - whether for hockey or a lake of the woods getaway in the winter or summer!And of course the convenience of the bar/restaurant is a major plus as well! Thanks for a great stay!"

"Fridge, stove, microwave were all dirty. Fridge and cupboards contained opened packages of food, and expired items. Judging from the food and personnal items in the bedroom and bath It seems like some one actually lives there, but wasn’t home while we were there. Very creepy. No TV, no wifi. No security. Front door didn’t even have a door knob.."

Karlstad is adorable and you should check out the fun Scandinavian shop in town. The area is full of history, which included my own family over 100 years ago. We truly enjoyed our stay and Sandy was so nice to work with. We would love to come back some day!"

"We came up for the high school hockey holiday classic. My wife, son and I stayed here while the team was at a near by hotel within walking distance. Great location, with a rink and start to the River Skate Path right off the front porch. We intended to have the team over to skate, but the weather didn’t cooperate. They did come for a bonfire and outdoor potluck dinner. We enjoyed our two nights here. Lots of character, clean, and well stocked with everything we needed."
